Poland can look back on a long history of opera culture. In 1628 Warsaw was the first city that staged an Italian opera outside Italy.

Afterwards, in the second half of the 18th century cultural institutions like operas, theaters and ballets flourished throughout the whole country and the Polish Opera came into being.

Today Poland still holds up its long opera tradition and enthuses the visitors with excellent performances.
